After 10 awesome days with Sven we have welcomed our next group of guests! Not our usual customers as they are a mix of beginners to intermediate surfers, which I’ve been excited about, as I consider myself more of a novice, and have been looking forward to finding some smaller, mellower breaks which are good for longboarding. We tailored our weeks plan to best suit our guest: a mix of sightseeing, surfing and beach hopping!
We spent our first day in Ericeria checking out the beaches and taking the guests for their first surf at Ribiera D’Ilhas ending with beach fire in the evening, beers and stargazing. Then on to beautiful Sintra where we first explored the coastline and then into the old town to see the many palaces and to try some delicious pastel de natas from the local bakery which were the best i’ve had (so far!). Sintra is an epic area located just north of Lisbon. It’s got some epic old palaces and castles to see and a really unique town.

Next we travelled north towards Peniche to get our surf on! We turned up to perfect clean and mellow weaves at Cantenio, in Baleal. We all had an amazing second surf, we got all the beginners riding green waves and managed to get a party wave yeeew! I always love having beginners around because they are never short of stoke and are always having fun which is what it is all about for me. We spent all of Thursday chilling in the sunshine with our beach set up and everyone getting lots of surf in even better conditions than the day before, we came to our secluded secret sport in the evening for a beachside dinner and sunset. Beautiful!
We are heading to north a little bit today to make the most of a nice cliff top, secluded beach and uncrowded surf. Oh, and of course it’s BBQ night!
Next week is set to be a corker too. We have a full Wagon and a film crew with us to shoot some professional footage for us. 🙂
